First off what is HBO and secondly what is this great decision they made? HBO – Home Box Office is premium American Cable company owned by none other than Home Box Office. HBO is also the oldest and longest operating Tv service in the US. Starting its operations from November 8, 1972. Just some extra stats for you. From Wikipedia (36,013,000 subscribers or 30.9% of all households with pay television service receive at least HBO’s primary channel) it is also the second largest channel in the US.
So what is the biggest HBO show and the best decision they ever made? First off I should say this is a seasonal show – as with all shows to some extent. But this show only releases 10 episodes a year. Yes I am talking about Game of Thrones! When HBO released the 6th season of GOT in 2016 – get this – a popular Adult site suffered a 4% dip in traffic…. Can game of thrones actually be helping us shy away from porn?
